Helfand collection of ex-votos and devotional paintings on medical subjects. The display is located on the main level of the Holman Biotech Commons, outside the Holman Reading Room.

Walkers will join the Distinguished Gentlemen of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Mighty Psi Chapter for the Annual Candlelight Vigil. The vigil will begin at Irvine Auditorium with songs, stories, and quotes from Dr. King then proceed to the compass and end at Du Bois College House and proceed with song and quotes from Dr. King during the walk through campus to end at College Green. Volunteers will work on service projects at the following sites: Mitchell Weir Elementary, Hamilton Elementary, Antioch Home School Center, and Laura Sims Skate House. MLK Sports and Wellness Event

The mission of the MLK Symposium is to honor Dr. King and the principles he espoused through learning, service, and community engagement. This year, the Young Quakers Community Athletics (YQCA) program' goal is to promote deeper bonds between Penn and the greater West Philadelphia area by inviting school-age children onto the Penn campus to engage in sports, wellness and community service activities under the guidance and encouragement of Penn students. Students will participate in a service activity, climbing the rock wall, yoga and football clinic led by the Penn Football team. Sponsors:  Penn's Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics,the Netter Center for Community Partnerships, and the African-American Resource Center. The event is open to 4th-8th grade students at Mitchell, Comegys, Leaand Hamilton University-Assisted Community Schools.

Led by the talented Damien Sneed, this performance weaves spoken word from Dr. King speeches with a musical lineage of gospel, jazz, classical, and Broadway to reinvigorate, and inspire future generations.
